I dont think it matters where the words are from – they either mean something or they dont. Sometimes it is just the fact that someone elses words are exactly what we would say ourselves had we the eloquence… if she is happy with her tattoos then f what anyone else thinks, its her body, her choice…dont like it – fine, but dont give the chick a hard time – do you know what her life is like? No? Me neither, but, I wouldve thought that a literary tattoo website wouldve had more open minded folk that frequent it….obviously not….

I think it would have been wiser to choose just one line or her favourite quote from the song. Tattoos should be both, meaningful and nice to look at, but this is just too much. But if she is happy with this, then why should other people bother…

some of my favourite lyrics are from very famous bands so if the lyrics mean something to her then she can choose to get them tattooed however i dont think she should have got the whole freaking song tattooed on her legs just because it looks dreadful. maybe pick a pretty lyric and get it tattooed on your shoulder or wrist but so many lyrics on your thighs?!
thigh tattoos should be banned for woman. ive never seen a good one x

ok…. SHUT THE FUCK UP! If that is what she wants then let her have it! Don’t be joy-suckers! All of you assholes should keep your mouth shut if you can’t say something nice! While I do agree that these song lyrics are not literature or have any literary merit and therefor should probably not be on this site that does not give you the right to berate someone for their choices in tattooing! If those songs mean something to her then she won’t regret them in 20 years. That’s all I have to say… I personally wouldn’t do it but i am getting slam tattooed down my calf so I can’t say anything

The Sherlock Holmes stories were published in serial form. Popular theatre of the seventeenth century is now required reading. I think the term literary is starting to stink of pretention. Do I think that these songs will last the test of time? No. But that doesn’t mean that these tattoos don’t belong on this website. They are tattoos of words from a widely available worded source.

More power to her but this is one of the dumber tattoos I’ve ever seen. In 20 years she’s going to regret tattooing the entire front of both of her thighs. She needs a dang clue.

I agree in concept to some of the others: maybe it means something now, but later, you’ll think WHAT FOR? Musical tastes are so fleeting and temporal.

On top of that, this is NOT literary – Kerouac, Kafka, Dickens, Shakespeare – THOSE are literary artists. Pop culture does not equal Literary goodness.

On top of that, small lettering does not hold up well – maybe you’ll be able to read that in a decade and maybe not….
