This tattoo is from Dante’s Inferno, Canto XV.
Chili Engels explains her tattoo:
Tags: Dante, Dante Alighieri, The Divine ComedyFull line is as follows:
se tu segui tu stella, non puoi fallire a glorioso porto
(if you follow your star, you cannot fail to reach a splendid harbor)
I didn’t want the whole line on my wrist, so I condensed it to the “you
cannot fail” plus a star.

I have been thinking about getting the SAME quote for almost two years now… I LOVE it!!!! And I think how you shortened it is really unique/perfect for the placement… I’m debating on placement because I REALLY want the entire quote, and if possible the florence coat of arms. Any suggestions?
Dante just makes me so happy. I plan on getting the last line from each book of the divine comedy- starting with “E quindi uscimmo a riveder le stelle.” (Thence we came forth the rebehold the stars) on my forearm. :D
