Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is officially in theatres today!  How many of you already saw it at midnight?

These are Zena’s Harry Potter tattoos:

Lumos is on my left wrist. It is the spell from the Potter books that illuminates the caster’s wand tip.

Nox is on my right wrist. It is the spell that extinguishes that very light.

They not only represent the Harry Potter series, but also the fact that everyone has both light and dark inside.

these are two of the most used spells in harry potter and so often overlooked at the necessity behind them. i love the meaning you put to it :] awesome ink!

I like this, as well. The whole symbolysm of light and dark is intriguing. However, I would have gotten “Nox” on the left and “Lumos” on the right, just because the left hand is traditionaly associated with darkness and sin and evil throughout history, but that’s just me. Nice tats. (:
