Where the Wild Things Are was my very favorite book.  And still is, really. Max and I share a name, and a very special bond.
I hope Spike Jonze doesn’t mess that up.

I am incredibly optimistic for the film. I really hope he doesn’t mess it up, too.

I saw the movie at a benefit screening and I can say it doesn’t mess anything up. Of course it’s expanded and it’s a different thing from the book but everything that’s special and wonderful about the book is there on screen. Movie Max is brilliant and the Wild Things all have great individual personalities. I don’t think fans of the book will be disappointed at all.
