Harry Potter Couple
These Harry Potter
My husband, Chris, and I got Harry Potter tattoos on the same day. I got a Golden Snitch on my thigh which might serve as the basis for a larger Harry Potter piece around it. Chris got a Dark Mark replicated right where it should go: on his left forearm. He claims that it no longer burns, but I’m not so certain. ;)

I've never understood the dark mark tattoos. The dark mark in Harry Potter stood for bigotry and hate. Why do you want that on you?

Kinda ironic… a "dark," almost-generic biker tattoo… but then, oh yeah, it's from Harry Potter. Don't try to be a badass and pay homage to children's literature.

I really like the snitch tattoo, is there shadowing to make it look like it is flying? I also do not understand the Dark Mark tattoo, is there a reason why he would like to identify with all that the Death Eaters stood for? I do not want to sounds mean, I was just wondering if there is more behind the reasoning?

To me it just seems risky to get a thigh tattoo because that's one area of your body that's pretty much guaranteed to sag, or get fat, or get cellulite-y — especially for women.
I know all body parts go downhill with age, but I personally would (and do) choose to get tattoos in places where they'll look better longer.
I guess one bonus of the thigh tattoo is if you do put on 10 pounds and don't like how it looks anymore, you can just wear pants.

Even after a pregnancy, mine looks just fine. No tattoo is going to look the same in 20 years anyway. What's the point in pissing all over someone else's birthday cake? Does it make you feel better to maker her feel bad about her tattoo?

Why would you get a dark mark tattoo? The Death Eaters were assholes!! I have to admit I'd be kinda suspicious of anyone who was willing to get a dark mark tattoo…

I love that you got a dark mark tattoo. The snitch looks fantastic, I love tattoos with that painted quality to them. Personally I feel the dark mark is hilarious, and I bet you have tons of fun from the expressions of people who see it. Congratulations on your awesomeness. :)

Perhaps bringing on a collaborator would help? I assume you don't want to give up your website, but you seem to be busy and disappear a lot. I really enjoy this blog. It would make sense to find someone who is willing to post content along with you, that way, when you are overwhelmed with the real world, it won't go dead here.

While it dissapoints me that the dark mark is straight out of the movie and not a creative version of it, I DO get why people get it. I have one, and it has nothing to do with my sidings with the death eaters. And my tattoos is really emcompassing all of the harry potter in general since it's my own version that I know no one else has. But anyway, who cares why someone would get a dark mark tattoo? It's their business and choice.

I like this article but..
last night i went to the midnight premiere of harry potter and the half blood prince! I was honestly so disappointed! was it just me or did it seem very choppy and for some reason didn't feel like it was a harry potter movie. Don't get me wrong some of the parts in it were either really funny or somewhat scary but i really was not satisfied. I don't know, what did you think?? Am i wrong? Give me your opinions..

this is really disappointing… just like modblog, this website is being neglected.

That snitch tattoo is a gorgeous shade of gold. I want a gold tattoo but I hear that color is extremely hard to do– I have faith now!
