This is Savannah‘s tattoo.
This tattoo comes from the poem Patterns, by Amy Lowell. I love poetry, and am a former creative writing minor. Amy Lowell is one of my favorite poets, and this poem is so real and so beautiful. I got this tattoo as a constant reminder not only of a beautiful poem, but of Psalm 139:13-14. We are all intricately woven and wonderfully made, something none of us should ever forget.
I walk down the garden paths,
And all the daffodils
Are blowing, and the bright blue squills.
I walk down the patterned garden-paths
In my stiff, brocaded gown.
With my powdered hair and jewelled fan,
I too am a rare
Pattern. As I wander down
The garden paths.
