explanations take such a dreadful time

This is Sasha's Alice tattoo.

When it came time to choose my last tattoo, I wanted something that represented my undying love for literature. I was also looking for something a little absurd and maybe whimsical to add to the three things I adored most. This brought me quickly to Alice in Wonderland, as I've been a fan of Charles Dodgson since before I knew he had a second name.

'I could tell you my adventures — beginning from this morning,' said Alice a little timidly: 'but it's no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then.'
'Explain all that,' said the Mock Turtle.
'No, no! The adventures first,' said the Gryphon in an impatient tone: 'explanations take such a dreadful time.'

- Lewis Carroll, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland

  1. Well ..
Text is good but the font .. is questionable :/ It’s HUGE!
The dog looks at u like, what the hell were u thinking face ..
Sorry, that I didn’t adore it.

  2. I love it. It is odd and thought-provoking. It makes the viewer ask, “Why did you get that tattoo?” And then, the tattoo answers it for the viewer. Although the question remains.

    Extremely clever.

  3. this is absolutely gorgeous! a different quote from Alice, but I love the illuminated letter and the different fonts – esp. ‘dreadful’
