This is Claire's tattoo of What Matters Most is How Well You Walk Through the Fire
It was the first of his books that I ever read, at the age of 15, and it changed my life. I had never identified with any poet before, and I felt--and continue to feel--that he conveys emotions in ways that I completely understand. I also had a very traumatic experience when I was 17, and believe that Charles Bukowski's poetry is one of the key reasons that I was able to make it through that period in my life.
