Armed with Madness

This is Nicky's tattoo.

Armed with Madness is a book by British author Mary Butts.  I read the book about four years ago and the inscription for the book simply reads "Armed with madness, I go on a long voyage."

To be honest with you the book itself isn't one of my favourites, but that line, inscription, title just stayed with me for so long, I would write it everywhere, on anything, so I decided that the logical thing would be to get in tattooed.

I got it done whilst travelling around California, in a little shop in Monterey called Creative Visions.  My tattoo artist was a lovely, very mellow surfer who liked the message my tattoo gave, twas a great experience.

  1. As a nurse I cant help but wonder what the nurse who will be helping you take a bath 40 years from now will be thinking :) good job

  2. Oh blimey that’s exactly what my mother said :)

I replied that I really couldn’t care less, I love my tattoos all of them, and when I’m wrinkly and old in 50-60 years time I’ll still love them :)
