Serendipity

This is Celia's tattoo.

When I was growing up, I loved a series of children's books from Serendipity Press. I still have all them and they still make me happy.  They had amazing illustrations and simple morals to the story. The logo for their publishing house was the sea serpent Serendipity, the lead character from one of the very first books.  It seemed completely right to add Serendipity to my moral compass tattoo.

  1. Amazing tattoo! I actually used to have a movie of that same book recorded onto VHS that I used to watch over and over as a child. I’m not sure who made the movie, but I loved it dearly. You’ve brought back a lot of fond memories for me today. Thanks for sharing your story!

    • I am really surprised at how many people recognize her. Granted I hang out at book stores so maybe it shouldn’t but I am always startled when someone comments.

  2. Oh my god I love it! I loved those books so dearly when I was younger. I have a few literary tattoos from favorite young adult novels that have impacted me, but I had nearly forgotten about these. Thank you so much. Now I need to find them.
