This is Angela's tribute to J.R.R. Tolkien.

I had been debating what to get done as my first tattoo for two years, and recently my dad moved to Australia which seemed like a good incentive to finally decide what to get, just to make sure I have a way of keeping him close by when I miss him (I've always been a bit of a daddy's girl). When I was young, Lord of the Rings was the last book my dad read to me before saying that I was old enough to read my own stories and since then it has always been an absolute favourite of mine.  I was re reading the book this weekend and a Tolkien inspired tat just seemed like the perfect way to go :) I love it lots.

The first time I read Lord of the Rings was the summer after my mother passed away, 10 years ago. I have continued to reread LOTR every summer and have two tattoos now that honor the book and the amazing JRR Tolkien.
