The journey doesn’t end here.

This is Gabriella's tattoo.

"End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path... One that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass... And then you see it. White shores... and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise."

- Gandalf, The Return of the King by J.R.R. Tolkien

  1. This actually isn’t the passage that’s in the book, the tattoo is more related to a scene in the movie between Gandalf and Pippin that is based on an excerpt that comes much later in the novel. Saying that I do like the films too and that it a lovely scene

  2. This is a quote from the movie, not the book. Tolkien never described death that way. This is a description of Valinor, not Heaven. The bulk of the quote is from the narration at the end of RotK where there is a description of Bilbo sailing to the west. Gandalf never says these words in the books.

  3. What font is this? I absolutely love it!
