This is my second tattoo done for my 28th birthday by James Zehna at Sailor Jim’s Electric Tattoo in Logan, Utah on April 6th,2012. It took about 4-5 hours and I did it all in one go. I am SOO incredibly proud of this work. For years Carl Sagan has helped me express my love for this incredible universe. I’m pretty sure my husband turned me on to his writings and I’ve been head over heels in literary love ever since. I can’t ignore such obvious passion for the world and space around us.
It’s to remind me to be compassionate- this journey is difficult for all us small creatures. It’s to remind me to love and be happy. It reminds me what’s important. It reminds me of the incredible unexplored above and around us. It reminds me of my total obsession with nature, the spirits/gods, and the AWESOMEness we tend to ignore ( and shouldn’t)
