I represent the sins

wilde

This is Haley's tattoo.

The tattoo is an Oscar Wilde quote from The Picture of Dorian Gray: "I represent to you all the sins you never had the courage to commit."

Quite honestly I hate Oscar Wilde but the quote represents my personality perfectly. Saying and doing everything that everyone else is scared of. It was done by Greg Larimer in Pittsburgh, PA and the lettering is all hand done, no font.

That Great Symphony

This is Alyssa  T's tattoo.

We shall be notes in that great Symphony
Whose cadence circles through the rhythmic spheres,
And all the live World’s throbbing heart shall be
One with our heart, the stealthy creeping years
Have lost their terrors now, we shall not die,
The Universe itself shall be our Immortality!

- Excerpt from "We Are Made One with What We Touch and See" by Oscar Wilde.  Read the whole poem here.

Only the shallow know themselves.

onlytheshallow

"Only the shallow know themselves."

- From Oscar Wilde's essay "Phrases And Philosophies For The Use Of The Young".

This tattoo was submitted by Marlene, who says that the quotation "can be interpreted in many different ways, to accompany mood swings".

Oscar Wilde

"The only difference between the saint and the sinner is that every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future."
